Porto Cristo is a quant fishing village and holiday resort on the east coast of Mallorca. Relatively small, it has a fine sandy beach and adjoining harbour area, where there are many boat trips to be had. The town has many shops and most bars and restaurants are either on the main road at the back of the beach or around the harbour area. Parking is not easy if you come for the day, because it is a very popular destination for day-trippers who make it a dual day out by visiting either the popular Caves of Drach or Caves of Ham, both of which are just on the outskirts of Porto Cristo. There is also an Aquarium near to the Caves of Drach. The resorts of S'illot, Sa Coma, Cala Millor and Cala Bona are all no more than a 15 minute drive away. |
