Illetas is very close to Palma and Palma airport, which makes it a popular resort. There are three small fine sandy beaches, all need to be accessed with a walk down to them - which is not too bad. It is the walk back up that is worse! The entire resort is hilly and may cause problems for wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties. If you hire a car, the entire resort is on a one way system and parking is a nightmare. Make sure your hotel has parking facilities. There are a small number of shops, bars and restaurants, but the quality of the hotels in Illetas are of a high standard. The recently expanded Bendinat golf course is close by. There is a bus service that runs into Palma and to the popular south-west resorts of Portals Nous, Palma Nova, Magalluf and Santa Ponsa. |
